FNMI Integrated Arts

Course:  NAC1O, Expressions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Cultures, Grade 9

Students who have taken NAC1O previously may request to take ALC2O, Integrated Arts

Eligibility:  Indigenous 8 or 9 students​, Adult Indigenous Learners who are close relatives

Site:    Aamjiwnaang - Great Lakes Secondary School

           Bkejwanong - Wallaceburg District Secondary School

           Kettle & Stony Point - Hillside School

Dates:  

  • July 2 to 29, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Bkejwanong and Kettle & Stony Point
  • July 2 to 29, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Aamjiwnaang

Program Description:  The program will be experiential in focus with a land-based learning approach.  In addition, students will engage in activities that support their transition to high school in September.  Students will be transported by school board provided bussing.​​

Registration Deadline:  June 28, 2024

Student Expectations:

  • Be prepared to engage in outdoor activity in warm summer weather.
  • Be respectful of health and safety protocols.
  • Wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather and that is appropriate for a school environment.
  • Have sun protection such as a hat and sunblock.
