WDSS FNMI Integrated Arts

Course:  NAC1O, Expressions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Cultures, Grade 9

Eligibility:  Grade 8 or 9 students

Site:   Wallaceburg District Secondary School


  • July 5 to 30, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 30 minute lunch break

Program Description:  The program will be experiential in focus with a land-based learning approach.  In addition, students will engage in activities that support their transition to WDSS in September.  Students will be transported by school board provided bussing.​​

Registration Deadline:  July 2, 2021

Program Cautions:

  • The program is conditional on directives from the Ministry of Education and the local health unit. 
  • Face masking is required when indoors and/or physical distancing is not possible.  
  • Students are expected to complete the daily school self-screening tool.

Student Expectations:

  • Be prepared to engage in outdoor activity in warm summer weather.
  • Be respectful of physical distancing and other health and safety protocols.
  • Wear a face mask inside.  Wear a face mask outside when physical distancing can’t be maintained.
  • Wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather and that is appropriate for a school environment.
  • Have sun protection such as a hat and sunblock.
