secondarypicLKCS.pngMaking the transition from elementary to secondary school, as well as secondary to post-secondary, can be exciting, challenging and yet at the same time a little stressful. These feelings are normal reactions to unfamiliar situations in which we are unsure of what to expect or what will be expected of us. The purpose of what is available through this information is to help students feel more comfortable and confident about entering and leaving secondary school by addressing many of the questions and concerns they face when making the transition.

Learn at Home Resources to Support Students' Learning During the School Closure Due to COVID-19

Some teaching staff may use their online learning tools to support student learning (Note: This would not be part of any student assessment). LKDSB students are encouraged to check their @lkdsb.com email addresses for information from their teachers.

Learn at Home Online Portal

The Ontario government also launched a Learn at Home online portal with resources for elementary and secondary students to practice math and literacy skills at home while schools are closed due to COVID-19. These resources do not replace what students have been learning at school; however, the Kindergarten to Grade 12 online learning resources may support students' learning at home during the COVID-19 school closure period.
