  • Please note: space is limited for placements of under 3 months and students must begin at the start of a semester (September and February).
  • Medical Insurance is mandatory and included in the tuition fee.
  • ​Students must pay the entire fee for the period approved in their letter of acceptance prior to attending one of our schools.
  • For students who wish to extend their stay, the appropriate fees will be determined and are payable prior to the extension being granted.

CIBC International Student Pay

As an international student studying at Lambton Kent District School Board, making tuition payments is faster and easier than ever before.

With the CIBC International Student Pay secure online portal, you can now make arrangements to pay your student fees in your preferred currency1 from anywhere in the world at any time.

Send Tuition In Four Easy Steps:

1. LOG IN
Access the CIBC International Student Pay secure web portal by copying the link below to your internet browser: https://pay.cibc.com/payment/#/StudentPay

2. PROVIDE PAYMENT DETAILS
Once you enter the CIBC International Student Pay platform, simply enter the tuition amount in Canadian dollars, then identify your preferred country. You’ll be shown the amount required in your preferred currency1 to pay your student fees in Canadian dollars based on the competitive FX rate CIBC is providing Lambton Kent District School Board. This quoted exchange rate is locked-in for 72 hours2 – this means no currency fluctuations during that period as you finalize your transaction.

3. ENTER PAYER DETAILS
Enter a few payer details – whether it is you, your parents or an agent acting on your behalf. Carefully review the Terms & Conditions provided by CIBC, and when ready, click “Accept” and “Submit”.

4. INITIATE TRANSFER
Print the payment instructions and reference code and deliver to your local bank within 72 hours2. Your bank simply follows the instructions and sends the funds to Lambton Kent District School Board.

​Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent to international@lkdsb.net.

The application fee ($250.00) is non-refundable. 

Full Refund of the net tuition fee will be given if Immigration Canada does not approve the study permit. To obtain the refund, a request in writing must include:
  • ​The LETTER OF REFUSAL from Canadian Immigration
Full Refund of the net tuition fee will be given if there is a serious illness of the students, or a death or serious illness of a member of the student’s immediate family that necessitates that the student remains in his/her home country. To obtain the refund, a request in writing must include:
  • Proof in the form of documentation of the extenuating circumstance is required.
Partial Refund will be granted:
  • If the needs of the student (socially, emotionally or academically) prove to be beyond what the school board can offer. Consultation with natural parents, agents and school board staff will take place before a student is withdrawn. The net tuition fees will be refunded on a prorated basis based on the number of months that have expired since the start of their program. The cost of the medical insurance ($450) will be deducted from the refund amount. 
  • If the student withdraws after the start of their program, the net tuition fees will be refunded for the unused semester. We will not refund the partial  semester. The cost of the medical insurance ($450) will be deducted from the refund amount.
No Refund will be granted to a student who is removed from the program because of:
  • ​A violation of the Lambton Kent District School Board Code of Contact
  • The student has been released from the Lambton Kent District School Board International Education program for lack of attendance or participation in school
  • Abusive behaviour toward other students, staff or homestay family
  • Engaging in Illegal activity
  • Engaging in non-accidental destruction of property
  • Use and/or trafficking of illegal drugs
  • Using alcohol excessively and/or under the age of 19
  • The study permit is revoked by Citizenship and Immigration Canada
NOTE: The student will be entitled to “due process” and each step will be documented and copied to the student and his/her agent (to share with the natural parents) for the above listed violations. Engaging in any illegal activities, that is, breaking the laws of Canada, may result in immediate dismissal from the program.​
