The video must not contain, depict or refer to anything crude, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, discriminatory, offensive or illegal. The video cannot contain, depict or refer to any irresponsible behaviour, risk to personal safety or damage to property.
Videos are to be no longer than 3 minutes in length. Videos will be accepted in either official language. Students must be enrolled at a school in Chatham-Kent.
Videos are welcome from students who wish to work independently or in groups. Should the video be a group effort, the group must elect a principal entrant to receive the prize and the sharing of such prize shall be the sole responsibility of the group.

The Dr. Lois Pearce Composition Award is available to any student enrolled in the senior division (Grade 11 or 12) of a Lambton Kent District School Board secondary school, within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. |
Any student who qualifies may submit a composition.
The subject is designed to encourage senior secondary students to reflect on the status of women and the challenges they face in today’s society. The essay should explore opportunities, restrictions, responsibilities, and roles, either as a broad overview or as an in-depth analysis of one facet only.
The minimum length of the essay is one thousand words; the maximum is twenty-five hundred words.
The essay must have a minimum 1” margin and be double spaced.
Only original work, not previously published, will be accepted. Any reference to the writing of others must be properly credited in footnotes.
Each entry, to qualify, must indicate demonstrably competent writing.
SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES MUST:

The Jack B. Davis Memorial Education Foundation invites postsecondary students attending a non-denominational public school and living in the town of Ridgetown, village of Highgate, or Howard and Orford townships to submit a letter of appeal for financial assistance. In your letter tells us about your educational history, volunteering, hobbies and interests. Include details of your program and career goals. |
