Pathways to Success is a K - 12 initiative to support Education and Career Life Planning. It is a government policy that stresses the importance of having students connect curriculum to their education and life planning. You can read more about the policy here.
The mandatory Grade 7 - 12 Individualized Pathways Plan that students must complete is stored in the myBlueprint program that the LKDSB purchased for students to access. This program allows the students to complete surveys to learn more about themselves, course plan for secondary school, explore careers, prepare resume and cover letters, learn about financial literacy and plan their educational pursuits after high school. Every LKDSB student has an account and begins using the program in grade 7. Each year they complete a variety of activities to complement career and education life planning alongside their curriculum. LKDSB students grade 7 - 12 access this program by visiting www.myblueprint.ca/lkdsb and using the green school account button to log in.
We know that parental engagement in education and career life planning is essential to success. As a result, myBlueprint allows parents to create accounts as well. We encourage you to visit www.myblueprint.ca and sign up as a parent to access the program and explore with your child!
