​Students at Tilbury Area Public School have been dismissed early on Thursday, February 23, 2023 due to a power outage in the area. Due to the power outage and the estimated time of restoration, Lambton Kent District School Board has decided to close the school to students for the day on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

School buses in the school zone were cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. The school is contacting parents/guardians of any students in attendance.

It is expected that Tilbury Area Public School will be open to students on Friday, February 24, 2023. Due to the temporary power outage, the phone lines at the school are currently unavailable. If parents/guardians need to contact the school, please reach out to the Lambton Kent District School Board at 519-336-1500.
