The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) celebrates those who dedicate their time and efforts to support students during Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Day on Wednesday, October 5.

The LKDSB is very proud of its staff and is aware of the important role they play in the development of children. Staff are dedicated and caring individuals striving to improve student achievement for the betterment of society. LKDSB schools are also fortunate to welcome many community volunteers who provide time, expertise, and support for students, both inside and outside the classroom.

LKDSB celebrates Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Day on October 5 to acknowledge the contributions of all employees and volunteers.

“We appreciate the ongoing efforts of staff and volunteers throughout the LKDSB to support student success and well-being,” said LKDSB Chair Randy Campbell. “Each year we dedicate this time to recognizing their commitment to students, but we know that all year staff and volunteers share their time, knowledge and skills to connect with students and support their learning.”

On October 5, all LKDSB schools are encouraged to take an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions of staff and volunteers throughout the school year.

“We are fortunate within the LKDSB to have wonderful employees and community volunteers who are working together to create safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environments for students and families,” said Director John Howitt. “Through building trusting relationships, we are able to continue Fostering Success for Every Student Every Day.”
