LKDSB Congratulates 2024 Dr. Jack Parry and Stefanko Award Winners

​The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) celebrates the athletic and academic achievements of the 2024 recipients of the Dr. Jack Parry Award and Stefanko Award.

The awards honour secondary student-athletes from the Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton areas, respectively, who are outstanding in their athletic and academic achievements, as well as participate in extra-curricular activities.

The following is a list of the three LKDSB award recipients and a description of their accomplishments:

Dr. Jack Parry Award

Hudson DeNure, Chatham Kent Secondary School – DeNure played six sports over her four years of high school, won three SWOSSAA championships and racked up an astonishing five OFSAA appearances. Hudson will be studying kinesiology at Ontario Tech University in September.

 

Stefanko Award

Avery Robinson, Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School – Avery has demonstrated a strong commitment to both academics and athletics. She has earned top academic awards each year of her high school career. She is an all-around athlete, competing at a high level for track and field, soccer, and hockey. Avery will be continuing her studies at the University of Guelph in September. 

Dawson Winegard, Northern Collegiate Institute and Vocational School – Dawson is an honour roll student and hardworking athlete. Over his high school career he has excelled in Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey and Track and Field while maintaining a 91% average across his top six courses. Dawson will continue his studies at the University of Windsor where he will join the Lancer's Basketball squad.

“We are very proud of our 2024 recipients of the Dr. Jack Parry Award and Stefanko Awards," said Director John Howitt. “These students are remarkable members of their communities, excelling academically, athletically, and through their volunteer efforts. We wish them all the best as they take their next exciting steps."​​
