The JMSS Library is ...

• open throughout the school day, including before school and during lunch
• acknowledged as a "safe space" at JMSS

JMSS Library Staff ...

• provide reader advisory services (i.e. matching good people to good books!)
• post themed displays to spotlight common school initiatives and the Library's collections
• guide students through the research process using the school library management system Destiny
• foster close ties with the Chatham Kent Public Library to augment the school Library's services
• develop the Library's collections based on curriculum and students' interests 
• maintain Adult, 'Tweens and Teens, NF-Fact & Reality and Comics, Graphic Novels & Manga collections 
• provide a venue and supervision for students with a common interest (e.g. gaming, assorted trading card games) during the scheduled lunch period
• participate in the Scholastic Reading Club
• plan and deliver themed activities during the scheduled lunch period or in collaboration with classroom teachers
