Basketball - Jr. and Sr. Boys | Mr. Syer Fall and Winter; 2:30-6:00
All grades | Play a league schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays plus a weekend tournament schedule for both teams |
Basketball - Jr. and Sr. Girls | Mrs. Helps / Mrs. Krawetz / Ms. DeBrouwer Fall; every day after school in Gym AB All grades | We play in the league, usually 1 or 2 games per week. Practice everyday
after school Monday to Thursday. We enter 3 tournaments that
are held Friday and Saturday. We run an elementary camp the last week in
August and start open gyms that week. Not all of our girls come with
Basketball experience so if you think you might be interested in playing
a great game, come out and try. |
Cross Country | Miss Jackson / Mr. Petrus Fall All grades | A running club that also participates in cross country running
competitions. All abilities and grades are welcome, no experience
necessary, just a desire to be active and meet new people. Participating
in competition is not mandatory. |

fosters confidence, sportsmanship, perseverance and determination in a

Swim team
| Mrs. Murray / Mrs. Darrach / Ms. Hislop Winter; Tues. and Thurs., Petrolia YMCA, 2:35-4:00 All grades | The Lancer swim team is a competitive, yet fun, experience for students.
There are four swim meets during the season where swimmers can qualify
for SWOSSAA. In order to advance to OFSAA swimmers must meet the time
or win the event at SWOSSAA. Swim team is also a great way to improve
your overall physical fitness level. We welcome all swimming abilities! |
Tennis
| Mrs. Mueller/ Mr. Mueller Fall and Spring; Daily, after school All grades
| Tennis is a life long sport that is thriving at LCCVI. From beginner to
advanced levels, students have an opportunity to be part of a fun but
competitive team environment. There is a "high school" division for
those new to tennis and an "open" division for those that play
competitively outside of the school (USA or OTA). |
Track & Field

| The
Lancer Track and Field Team welcomes athletes of all ages and
abilities. Athletes may participate in hurdles, sprints,
distance, relays, high jump, long jump, triple jump,
javelin, discus, and shot put. The team participates in a number of
exhibition Track and Field meets to prepare for the LKSSAA
Championships. |
