Borrowing: You must have a current LCCVI Student Card to borrow resources. Replacement cost for a lost Student Card is $5.00.
Catalogue: Library resources, including books, magazines and encyclopedias are accessible through "Destiny" icon (on all networked school computers.
Loan Periods: Fiction and most non-fiction may be borrowed for three weeks. Date Due Cards are placed in each book as you borrow it.
Damages: All resources are checked upon return. You are responsible for the cost of any damaged or lost resources. Removal of the bar-code means a charge of $5.00.
Overdues: Notices of overdue resources and fines are sent to your homeroom weekly. Failure to return resources by the due date and to pay any fines means that you may lose library privileges.
Fines: Fines are charged on all overdue resources. Fines are 10 cents per day on 3 week resources and 25 cents per day on overnight.
Computers: Open before school, lunch when supervised, and after school. Priority during the day is class use and e-learning students.
Internet: Internet is available for educational use.
Conduct: The Library rules follow the school code of behaviour. Be courteous and considerate to all in the Library. The Library is a quiet area where you may read, research, study and listen. No food, drink, gum, cards or games.
