The International Education Department is receiving applications for the 2025-26 school year. Students from Spain, Italy, France, Taiwan, Thailand, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Japan, and Brazil are all looking to become part of the LKDSB community. On this Trades Talk Tuesday we want to give a BIG thanks to Adam Lally and the Lally Auto Group for their incredible ongoing support!
The group recently visited JMSS to celebrate a generous donation of 10 4-cylinder engines from Ford Canada to our Transportation Tech program. Students got a chance to meet the Lally team, learn about careers in the automotive industry, and work on exciting hands-on projects. We’re grateful for their ongoing support of our programs like Auto Racing and Rebuilding Wheels – Rebuilding Lives. 🚗🔧

🌟 Celebrating Black History Month at LKDSB 🌟
Every February, we reflect on the incredible achievements and contributions of Black Canadians. But at LKDSB, we believe in celebrating Black history year-round. Our educators bring Black history, voices, and perspectives into classrooms every day, fostering understanding and respect for the cultural contributions that have shaped our world.
This February, join us as we shine a spotlight on events, lessons, and activities across our Board to honour the lasting legacy of Black Canadians. It’s an opportunity for students, families, and communities to learn, celebrate, and be inspired by the remarkable individuals who’ve shaped our past—and continue to shape our future.
We invite you to explore the rich history of Black Canadians, including the powerful stories from our own local communities. Together, let’s build a more inclusive, compassionate, and prosperous Canada, today and every day!✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽
