The Ministry of Education and the trustees' association announced they have reached a tentative provincial agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). As such, all Lambton Kent District School Board schools and facilities, except Brooke Central Public School, will be open to students on Monday, November 21, 2022.​ Please read an important update from the Lambton Kent District School Board regarding contract negotiations

The health and safety of LKDSB students and staff are the top priorities and LKDSB is following the guidance provided by the Ministry of Education and provincial and local Medical Officers of Health as plans are developed. ​Read the Aug. 12, 2020 letter to parents/guardians from Chatham-Kent and Lambton Medical Officers of Health.

Supports for Students: School social workers are available to students with concerns about the Grade 8 to Grade 9 transition. Read more here.

Parents/guardians and students: The Lambton Kent District School Board has released its plan for the safe return to school for the 2020-2021 school year. The Ministry of Education directed that LKDSB elementary and secondary schools will reopen in September with a return to full-time, in-class learning with enhanced safety measures. Reminder: All schools under the jurisdiction of the Lambton Kent District School Board are closed from March 23 to April 5, 2020. Read a message from Director Howitt distributed March 26, 2020​.​ Read a letter to parents/guardians from the Ontario Minister of Education Stephen Lecce​.


Notice: LKDSB Playground Equipment Closed - In an attempt to curb the spread of the virus and to protect public health, the Lambton Kent District School Board is requesting that members of the public avoid using any of our school playground equipment. This remains in effect during the Ontario Minister of Education ordered COVID-19 school closures. Equipment cannot be properly sanitized at this time.
