High school sports history was made on Wednesday, May 27th, as Wallaceburg District Secondary School (WDSS) and Northern Collegiate Institute & Vocational School (NCIVS) faced off in the first-ever local high school girls field lacrosse game, hosted at WDSS. This monumental milestone marks a major step forward for secondary school athletics in the region, introducing a fast-paced, dynamic sport to a new generation of female athletes. The launch of the program was spearheaded by a dedicated group of local champions for the sport: Brian DeWagner, Tyler White & Drew Sydorko. Their collective vision and tireless efforts behind the scenes have paved the way for this historic season. https://www.lkdsb.net/article/16332

Learning to budget, choose favourite & healthy foods, and safely navigate our community are all vital life skills our students within the ALLP Program develop each year. This week’s trip to our local Shopper’s Drug Mart provided the perfect opportunity to showcase these skills.
