To cap off a great week, tomorrow, students perform at the holiday assembly and wear their favourite festive clothes.

The Hillcrest family is grateful to our community partners @LCCVI and @VPP for inviting us to the high energy band presentation and a movie on the big screen this week. They say it takes a village to raise a child and our village is the best! Merci!

Students and staff gathered together to enjoy a delicious turkey dinner on Monday. We are so grateful to the volunteers who made this event possible and to the many families who purchased a meal for a student who needed one. We have such a generous and caring school community!

"Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man". Students in Mme Van Troost's and Mme Verroen's classes decorated gingerbread cookies after finishing their writing piece on how to capture a gingerbread.

Students in grade 7 and 8 used Kidder Create kits to learn and apply the features of strong and stable structures.

Tous sont bienvenus!

What a fun time at the Jingle Mingle! We cannot thank our grade 7 and 8 students enough for putting this on for our entire student body. You thought of everything to make it a successful event. Bravo!

Colour Houses (Post 2 of 2)

We gathered together in our Colour Houses this morning to create a structure using all of the donated food items. Look at the creations that the students came up with! As a school, we collected 1180 food items. Congratulations to Mme Hillier's class for bringing in the most - you have a popcorn party coming your way!

What a season it was for our Girl's and Boy's volleyball teams! The girls
had an impressive showing making it all the way to the semi-finals this week, and the boys wrapped up the season by bringing home the championship pennant last night against Q.E Petrolia. Congratulations to all players for representing Hillcrest well and a huge shoutout to our coaches - Mme Olah, M. Chalupka, M.Kennefick and M.Triest. A team is not possible without your leadership.

Good luck to our Boys and Girls volleyball teams tonight as they play in the semifinals.

Here is the latest haul from the lost and found.

Show us your Colour House School Spirit on Thursday by dressing in your colour!

This cold weather is definitely giving 'get cozy' vibes! Come in your P.Js tomorrow!

A good time was had by Mme Bailey and Mme Nesbitt's classes today at the Moore Museum where they learned about holiday traditions of the Settlers.

What's a party without some treats?
