QE School Council~ Making decisions together!
QE has an outstanding and supportive school council team. School councils are advisory groups that are mandated and regulated by the Ministry of Education through the Education Act. Members represent the school community and include parents, staff and community representatives. The council meets approximately 5 times per year, usually on Tuesday evenings after the dinner hour. Becoming a member of the school council is a fantastic way to become involved in your child's school community and to represent the parents of QE. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings and we hope to see you there!
The first Parent Council meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:30pm in the school library.
Our Parent Council runs several bingos throughout the school year, and bingo volunteers are needed. The funds raised are used to purchase new technology for the school and reduce the cost of field trips for our students, among other things. If you could work even just one bingo a year, it would be greatly appreciated! Please contact the office at 519-354-2560 to sign up. We thank our Bingo Volunteers by providing free hot lunches for your children for one month!
