Our WDSS Open House was well attended last night, as families and students listened to a presentation about the school and then went on a tour of the building. We hope that our incoming Grade 7s and Grade 9s were able to learn about the many different programs and areas that the school offers. Some of the highlights of the tour were the technology areas of Construction, Transportation, and Manufacturing, our Hospitality & Tourism classrooms and our PSW (Personal Support Worker) programs. Families were able to see and learn about the many supports for Indigenous students as well that are offered here (Harriet Jacob Centre, Indigenous Grad Coach and PACE program). We hope that students were able to learn more about the school and the extracurricular clubs and teams that students could join when they arrive next year at WDSS. If anyone was not able to make the Open House, they are able to schedule a separate tour by calling the main office at 519 627 3368.
