A huge shout-out to the students who thrived in the Women in the Trades Bootcamp! They gained valuable experience in tool/mould-making, prototyping, R&D, and worked with CAD/CAM software and a tabletop CNC milling machine.
Other Tartans dove into a practical Plumbing/Gas Fitter Workshop, mastering everything from cutting and threading pipes to collaborating on team snorkels. Every moment was a new skill unlocked! 🔩🔧

CF Industries recently visited WDSS to provide students with an informative look🔍 into the diverse range of careers and skilled trades available within a major industrial company. This community outreach initiative is part of CF Industries' commitment to career development, helping to build the future workforce right here in the local area.
The presentation highlighted that a company like CF Industries, a global leader in the manufacturing of hydrogen and nitrogen products (like fertilizer), requires far more than just administrative staff. They rely on a highly skilled and diverse team across many disciplines. ⚙️⚡🏗️

Missed the daytime session or need more details? You've got another chance!
Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig is hosting an evening session tonight from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

✈️ History Comes to Life in Grade 10! 📚
Our Grade 10 history students took to the skies (of the classroom!) to explore the tactics of the Battle of Britain. They got creative, building and flying paper airplanes to better understand the strategy behind this crucial WWII campaign—the first major military effort fought entirely by air forces!
Learning by doing! Great work, historians! 👏

Their recent donation is helping us stock The Hub, where we provide essential support—including food, hygiene products, and clothing—to our students in need. We are so grateful for their commitment to our community! ❤️

Excellent effort, team! 👏🏐
