Today our halls were buzzing with excitement as students stepped into the shoes of their future selves! From astronauts to veterinarians, nurses to construction workers, and even labour and delivery specialists — our young dreamers showed up dressed to impress and ready to explore the world of possibilities ahead.

Treaty Recognition Week Reflection
This week, students participated in Painting with Moses, a meaningful activity that deepened our understanding of Treaty relationships. Moses shared that the title of his artwork this year is “Sharing the Land and Keeping Promises.” His message reminds us that we are all Treaty People, and that treaties are enduring agreements—lasting as long as the sun shines, the grass grows, and the river flows.

Our grade 8s learned how to play lacrosse this afternoon with Leave Your Mark Lacrosse!
Our English grade 5 students, as well as students from Hanna, Lansdowne, and High Park, participated in Land Based Learning opportunities today at Aamjiwnaang. Students participated in 4 different activities and enjoyed a delicious lunch together. This amazing opportunity for the students was made possible due to the Niigaan Gdizhaami Fund, in partnership between Aamjiwnaang and Sir John Moore.

Our Big Box Fundraising was a huge success! Thank you to everyone that sold cards and candles to fund raise for the school. We raised close to $2000 which will go right back into our school community. Please see the poster for pick up instructions next week.

Learning buddies from Ms. West and Mme. Brydges’ classes became scientists today as they explored chemical reactions through an exciting experiment — exploding monsters! 👾🧪
Students designed their own monster bags, filled them with vinegar, and added a Kleenex packet of baking soda. After a good shake, they watched their creations grow… and then explode! 💨🎉

To bring patterning to life, the class has been:
