The students in Mme Stewart and Mme Coates class are developing an interest in 'l’espace extra-atmosphérique' through inquiry-based learning and creative play. They use vocabulary such as 'planète', 'étoile', and 'astronaute' while exploring concepts related to the solar system. This curiosity supports their understanding of the world around them and encourages them to pose 'des questions' and share 'leurs idées' with peers.

🔧🌉 Future Engineers at Work! 🌉🔧 Students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 have been exploring the Engineering Design Process as part of their Science and Technology learning! Tied to the Ontario Curriculum’s focus on Forces Acting on Structures and Mechanisms, students investigated how forces, stability, and materials affect the strength of structures. Working collaboratively in teams, they applied their knowledge to plan, design, and build model bridges—putting scientific concepts into action through hands-on learning. 🧠💡 Next week, the excitement continues as students test their bridges, analyze the results, and make improvements—just like real engineers! Stay tuned for updates on their innovative designs and discoveries! 🚀

🌟 Grade 5/6 Geocaching Adventure! 🌟 Despite the less-than-ideal weather, our Grade 5/6 students from Mrs. Moran, Mr. Wilson, Mme Brydges/M. Findlay, and Ms. Ford/Mme Saunders' classes had an amazing time geocaching at Lorne Henderson Conservation Area yesterday! 🗺️✨ Most groups successfully discovered all 6 hidden treasures, while some adventurous teams went above and beyond, finding a total of 12! 🎉 Way to go, Knights! 🏆👏

We are so grateful for our student nutrition program that provides healthy snacks for all of our students each day. Today, students in Mme Brydges' class made some new recipes to try some of the ingredients recently delivered by the program. Students enjoyed creating and eating savoury muffins consisting of feta, red peppers, ham, and eggs as well as banana chocolate chip muffins. They were both delicious! 🧑🏻‍🍳🥚🥣
