A great day of soccer for our intermediate boys today! 🥅 ⚽️

Our Intermediate girls played really well and had so much fun at the soccer tournament today. We are so proud of all of their efforts and sportsmanship displayed. 🥅 ⚽️

This is the last week to send in cereal boxes for our Dom-Inn-O Challenge. Thank you very much to everyone that has already donated. We have collected 335 boxes so far which is very close to our 500 box target. Way to go Knights!

Tomorrow, May 27th, we will be wearing grey to recognize Brain Cancer Awareness Month. We will also be collecting donations, either cash or gift cards, to support Mrs. Young's nephew, Grayson who is battling brain cancer. The family is leaving for Toronto tomorrow where Grayson will have surgery on Thursday. Grayson and his family will remain in hospital in Toronto for a number of weeks before he begins chemotherapy at Sick Kids. Our thoughts are with Mrs. Young, Grayson and his family during this very difficult time. If you are able to help, it is greatly appreciated.

Get ready to run! The 800m and 1500m is coming up tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21st. Rain date is Monday., May 26th. Come cheer on the racers!

Looking forward to seeing all of our talented students this week! Hope you can join us. 🎤 🎶

Our FDK students were enjoying the sunny weather on Friday!

We had a very successful Track and Field Day! We are so proud of the students' effort, perseverance, and energy that they displayed throughout all of the events. Thank you to Ms. Clarke and Ms. LeFaive for organizing. 🏃

The students in Ms. Mayea's class were enjoying the math scavenger hunt today. Thank you, Ms. Clarke for your weekly work to create them. 🧮 ✏️

Have we gone back in time at SJM? Thank you to everyone who showed their school spirit for Retro Day today!

A reminder that tomorrow, May 14th at 4:30 in the Learning Commons, is our next parent council meeting. We will be making finals plans for the BBQ and upcoming book fair and would love some extra help to plan, organize and run both of these events. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend. Hope to see you there.

There will be freezies for sale during the track and field meet on Wednesday. Cash only please. Beginning next week, freezies will be for sale on Tuesdays and Thursdays using a freezie card (similar to a milk or popcorn card) which will be available for purchase on School Cash Online shortly.

A special thank you to our LKDSB Camp Leaders for sharing their high school tips and tricks with our grade 7/8 students today. It helped to relieve some anxiety and helped to set them up for success!

Retro Day! 🪩 🕺

Such a fun day of celebrating all of the amazing women in our student's lives in Mme Mezz's classroom on Friday during their afternoon tea party. Thank you to everyone that came! 🌼 🫖

🌮🥣 Healthy & Delicious in the Classroom! 🥗✨
Madame Brydges and Mr. Findlay’s class put their creativity and nutrition knowledge to the test! Using the generous donation from the President's Choice Power Full Kids Charity, students prepared a delicious and protein-packed meal of walking tacos (taco salad in a bag or bowl) and Greek yogurt dessert bowls. 😋
This tasty creation was the winning idea from their health project, where students reimagined their favourite meals to make them healthier and higher in protein. What a fun and delicious way to learn about nutrition!
👏 Huge kudos to the students for their teamwork and to President's Choice for making this hands-on learning possible!

Congratulations to this month's character/ learning skills award winners and to this month's colour house ambassadors! Thank you for being such great citizens and for showing amazing school spirit. Go Knights!

We have had a great 2 days of fishing with students from SJM, Hanna, Lansdowne, High Park and GLSS. This opportunity was made available from the Niigaan Gdizhaami Grant and our partnership with Aamjiwnaang, which we are so grateful for. Many of the students were able to experience fishing for the first time, were able to learn from Jesse and Rocky, and they enjoyed a delicious fish and chip lunch. 🐟 🎣

Let's support the Leafs this Friday!
