Here at HRPS, we strive to provide a rich educational experience, where curriculum expectations, athletics, clubs and other activities are offered to our students.
Our Art Club is one of these activities where students can learn new skills, meet new people and grow in their abilities while at school.
Check out the work this group has been doing lately! We are so fortunate that our educators are dedicated to providing these opportunities to our students.

🌟 Celebrating Black History Month at LKDSB 🌟
Every February, we reflect on the incredible achievements and contributions of Black Canadians. But at LKDSB, we believe in celebrating Black history year-round. Our educators bring Black history, voices, and perspectives into classrooms every day, fostering understanding and respect for the cultural contributions that have shaped our world.
This February, join us as we shine a spotlight on events, lessons, and activities across our Board to honour the lasting legacy of Black Canadians. It’s an opportunity for students, families, and communities to learn, celebrate, and be inspired by the remarkable individuals who’ve shaped our past—and continue to shape our future.
We invite you to explore the rich history of Black Canadians, including the powerful stories from our own local communities. Together, let’s build a more inclusive, compassionate, and prosperous Canada, today and every day!✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽

We are all set up and ready for day two of KinderSTARt registration day. Last night, we welcomed many families to the school and we even had some tears when the newest Wildcats didn't want to leave the den. Here is hoping we have more families who will be joining us in September come out to register today! We are here from 9am until 3pm.

Check out the Senior Girls basketball team in action this afternoon against the Ridgetown Royals! Our girls came out victorious, what a great result of their many hours practicing after school or during recess time.

Good morning parents and guardians,
The LKDSB has some exciting news!
With the recent launch of the refreshed website, we now have a great opportunity to connect more families with the MyLKDSB App! To help spread the word, I have attached a graphic that will help you locate and download the app so that you can stay connected to both the board and the schools your child(ren) attend.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

The temperatures which are forecasted over the next few days are much more cold than what we have been experiencing. As recess time approaches at school, the temperatures are always monitored to ensure whether it is safe to go outside to play or whether we need to have indoor recess time. Getting to and from school, including taking the bus, can be very cold, especially for our youngest students. Make sure that everyone is wearing well fitting winter clothing and footwear to ensure they stay warm and safe.

Regular student attendance is a key piece in their ability to succeed at school. Not only do the educators work at delivering Ontario curriculum, there are many other important skills taught while at school, such as cooperation, organization, and responsibility. When your child misses school, they also miss these parts of their learning.

Students are loving the snow and our vast school yard to play in. The temperatures will remain something that we closely monitor throughout each day. Please help the school by having your child(ren) wear their winter apparel such as hats, mitts/gloves, snow pants, boots, and anything else that keep them warm and dry for outdoor play.

Our senior boys basketball team played well tonight against the Indian Creek Sundevils. Congrats on the skill development at this point and keep working hard at practices, boys!
