Director's Message to the Graduating Classes of 2025

On behalf of the Lambton Kent District School Board, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to each and every one of you.

As graduation ceremonies take place across our district, we pause to acknowledge the remarkable achievement that is your graduation. Walking across that stage represents more than the completion of coursework and the accumulation of credits—it symbolizes perseverance, growth, and the strength it takes to overcome the unique challenges each of you has faced. No two journeys have been the same, and regardless of the path you took to get here, you should be incredibly proud. This moment is yours.

Graduation marks a new beginning—a next chapter filled with possibility. Whether your future holds heading off to secondary school, post-secondary education, entering the workforce, exploring a trade, or something uniquely your own, know that you carry with you the strength, resilience, and experiences that have shaped you throughout your time with us at LKDSB.

This moment, too, belongs to the many people who walked beside you along the way.

To our staff across the LKDSB—thank you. School leaders, custodial, administrative, support and central staff who ensure our schools are safe, welcoming, and supportive environments. Classroom educators, who also serve as mentors, role models, and trusted adults—your impact is immeasurable. You all have helped shape not only the minds, but also the hearts and characters of our graduates. While the full weight of your influence may not be known today, it will echo in the lives of our students for many, many years to come.

To the families and caregivers—this is your achievement, too. We see the early mornings, the packed lunches, the late-night projects, and the emotional support given freely and endlessly. The love and encouragement you provide form the foundation upon which our students build their dreams.

To our community partners—thank you for enriching the student experience far beyond the classroom. Whether it’s opening your doors for field trips, offering experiential learning opportunities, or simply sharing time and expertise, you have created memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you also to those who ensure our students, our most precious cargo, arrive and are returned home safely each school day. And to our volunteers—those who organize hot dog days, book fairs, family fun nights and countless more moments that bring our schools to life. You are the heartbeat of our school communities.

To our graduates: this is a moment of celebration, not just for what you’ve accomplished, but for the community that helped you get here. Remember, as an LKDSB graduate - you are never alone. You are and will always be a part of something greater—a network of people who believe in you, who have supported you, and who will continue to cheer you on wherever your path may lead.

Congratulations, Classes of 2025. We are so proud of you.
