Ed Week 2026

Across Sarnia‑Lambton and Chatham‑Kent, learning begins long before a student walks through the doors of an LKDSB school — it begins in the heart of our communities.

This Education Week, the Lambton Kent District School Board is proud to celebrate Learning That Unites Us, a theme that highlights the shared journey of education and the many people, partnerships, and places that support every learner from early years to graduation.

Students grow with the guidance of families, educators, local businesses, Indigenous partners, service clubs, cultural organizations, and caring neighbours who believe in their potential. Learning happens everywhere — in classrooms, arenas, libraries, workplaces, community centres, and homes. Each community contributes its own strengths, stories, and spirit, creating a network of support that makes education richer, safer, and more connected.

Throughout the week, we honour the partners who give their time, the voices who guide us forward, and the relationships that strengthen well‑being, identity, and opportunity for all students.

When we learn together, grow together, and support one another, we are united.

United for our students. United for our communities. United in learning.

We invite you to take a moment to watch our Education Week video and join us in celebrating the people and partnerships that make the LKDSB a strong and caring place for students to learn.
