Remembrance Day - November 11 - Lest We Forget

Today, every school within the Lambton Kent District School Board pauses to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who gave everything so that we may live in freedom.

Across our board, students and staff are observing this day through assemblies, performances, moments of silence, lesson plans, activities, and videos—each a meaningful tribute to the significance of November 11.

Remembrance Day is more than a tradition; it is a solemn promise to never forget. By teaching about and observing this day, we ensure that future generations understand the cost of peace and the importance of gratitude. These acts of remembrance help us reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the responsibility we share to uphold them.

We extend our deepest thanks to the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their legacy lives on in our classrooms, in our communities, and in the hearts of Canadians.

Lest we forget.
