Extra-curricular programming includes a variety of optional
activities including music, drama, sports, and other activities designed to allow students to explore personal interests and feel a sense of accomplishment. Supervision and/or coaching of extra-curricular activities is shared among staff on a voluntary basis.
Students who participate in extra-curricular activities should serve as good role models for our school - this includes attending practices, rehearsals, etc. regularly, and demonstrating good sportsmanship on the courts and fields. It is also imperative that students participating in extra-curricular activities demonstrate a commitment to their academics.
Parents are encouraged to attend performances, games, meets, and tournaments as spectators.
King George VI also offers a variety of house league activities designed
to promote participation and friendly competition amongst our younger students. The activities are
seasonal in nature – soccer in the fall, volleyball and basketball
during the winter and two-pitch in the spring.
