The staff of King George VI believes in an extra-curricular program
which is varied, offering many optional activities such as music, drama,
sports and other programs aimed to help students gain personal
self-achievement.
We believe the activities should be voluntarily
shared among the staff, keeping in mind a fair distribution of time and
facilities while providing a safe and well supervised environment.
Students as participants in extra-curricular activities need to be
good role models for our school. They must demonstrate responsibility,
good sportsmanship and commitment to their academics, in order to
participate.
Parents are encouraged and welcomed to be involved
by attending events, modelling good sportsmanship and supporting the
decisions of the school.
In addition to Intramurals, King
George VI also has School Teams which compete against other
schools in our area. In order to participate on a School Team, a
“King George VI – School Team Agreement” is to be completed and signed
by both student and parent/guardian acknowledging the commitment and
acceptable code of conduct.
