Please be advised that our Grade 3/4 scheduled skating trip for today, Monday, January 19th, has been cancelled.

We have been monitoring the weather forecast closely. Current predictions indicate that the wind chill will drop below the safety threshold set by the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB).

Why are we cancelling?

LKDSB Policy: The Board’s weather guidelines state that outdoor activities should be modified or cancelled when the wind chill reaches -18°C or colder.

Health & Safety: We are committed to respecting these guidelines to strictly limit the risk of cold exposure and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

We understand that the students were looking forward to this outing, and we are already working on rescheduling the trip for another day. We will share the new date with you as soon as it is confirmed.

The Lambton Kent District School Board has absolutely no plans or intentions to close, move, or sell Lambton Kent Composite School (LKCS).
For more than 55 years, LKCS has been a cornerstone of the Dresden community—educating students from Dawn-Euphemia Public School, Zone Township Central School, Thamesville Area Public School, Dresden Area Central School, and beyond. It’s a school where tradition meets excellence, and we’re proud of the incredible opportunities it provides for our students.

Today is Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We don't often say it enough, but our entire school community thanks you for your daily commitment to safety, professionalism, and for being such an important part of our students' school experience.

Students registered with LKDSB and in grades 7-10 are invited to participate in our Summer Connections Camp. LKDSB ABA team members, supported by LKDSB mental health professional team members will lead day-long fun-filled learning opportunities focused on building social skills through positive peer connections and engagement in leisure activities.

Grade 3 to 6 students are invited to participate in an Elementary Summer Connection Camp at various LKDSB school locations this summer. If interested, register your child using the QR Code in the attached poster.

Summer Engagement Camps for students in grades 1 and 2 are being held at different LKDSB schools this summer. If your child is interested in participating, use the QR Code on the poster to register.
