We are thrilled to bring the rink to the gym and give our students a chance to learn about one of Canada's favorite winter sports. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to practice teamwork, strategy, and coordination—all without needing to leave our gymnasium!

Why Join the List Now?
A viable before-and-after school program needs 13 full-time students. We are getting closer to that goal every single day, and are hopeful that we hit that mark.
By adding your name now, you share the need for care in our community. For those already on the waitlist, thank you for adding your child's name! The Early Learning Centre staff will be calling those on the list to confirm whether you are still in need of care.
We are so grateful for the interest you’ve shown in our school. We can’t wait to reach our goal and explore the opportunity to offer before-and-after school care at Zone!

We’re excited to invite your school communities to take part in the 2nd Annual Light Up the Night for Noelle – CK Edition! After an incredible launch last year — with more than 240 participants and over $20,000 raised to support students across Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton — we are thrilled to bring this event back for 2026.
This 5KM night run/walk (with a 1KM fun run for kids) is a fantastic way to bring students, families, and staff together in support of Noelle’s Gift to Children. This organization continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children throughout our communities.
Let’s keep the momentum going and show just how GREAT our LKDSB schools are!

Last year, LKDSB schools showed incredible community spirit, with teams stepping up in big ways to support students across Chatham-Kent. It was inspiring to see our school communities light up the trail — and we can’t wait to see what this year brings.
We would love for every LKDSB school located in Chatham-Kent to help make the second annual event even bigger and brighter.
Looking forward to seeing LKDSB light up the night once again! ✨

SAVE THE NEW DATE: LKCS Grade 8 Open House
Please note that the Grade 8 Open House at Lambton-Kent Composite School has been rescheduled.
New Date: Thursday, January 29th
Time: 6:00 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for students and families to tour the school and learn about the transition to Grade 9. Please mark your calendars!

We have been monitoring the weather forecast closely. Current predictions indicate that the wind chill will drop below the safety threshold set by the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB).
Why are we cancelling?
LKDSB Policy: The Board’s weather guidelines state that outdoor activities should be modified or cancelled when the wind chill reaches -18°C or colder.
Health & Safety: We are committed to respecting these guidelines to strictly limit the risk of cold exposure and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
We understand that the students were looking forward to this outing, and we are already working on rescheduling the trip for another day. We will share the new date with you as soon as it is confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our students safe.

If they include “turning 4 years old” 🎂 – it’s time to register for Kindergarten!

The Lambton Kent District School Board has absolutely no plans or intentions to close, move, or sell Lambton Kent Composite School (LKCS).
For more than 55 years, LKCS has been a cornerstone of the Dresden community—educating students from Dawn-Euphemia Public School, Zone Township Central School, Thamesville Area Public School, Dresden Area Central School, and beyond. It’s a school where tradition meets excellence, and we’re proud of the incredible opportunities it provides for our students.
