Congratulations to the WAPS boys soccer team. The boys played three, tight games to make it to the championship round against Tilbury. The boys were victorious and came home as the 2026 South Conference CHAMPIONS!They’re congratulated on their hard fought wins, and teamwork. Big shout out to our senior players for their leadership and more importantly, their high level of soccer skills and talent. We’ll miss you next season!

Every year on September 30, communities across Canada pause to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. It is a time to listen, learn, and remember the Indigenous children, families, and communities impacted by residential schools.
Why Do We Wear Orange?
The tradition of wearing orange began with Phyllis Webstad, a Northern Secwepemc woman and residential school survivor.
When Phyllis was six years old, she was excited to wear a bright new orange shirt given to her by her grandmother for her first day at the Saint Joseph Mission Residential School. When she arrived, school authorities took her shirt away and replaced it with a uniform.
Today, wearing an orange shirt is a symbol that Every Child Matters—and a promise that no child’s identity or voice should ever be taken away.

Snack trays are back! Our school provides nutritious afternoon snack options to ensure students have the energy they need to focus and participate fully in class. The program is open to all students for that extra boost during the day. Snacks, adhere to provincial, nutritional guidelines, prioritizing, fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein.
