SUPER proud of our Gr 3/4 classes on their creation for the Merry Magic Gingerbread Village contest. Thank you to everyone who voted for our entry - your generosity and support brought us the Silver Medal and a generous contribution to the Goodfellows "No Child Without a Christmas" campaign.

Way to go Lions! So proud of our Sr Girls on their Conference win! After going undefeated all season, they defeated Winston Churchill 3-1. A giant thank you to our coaches for giving their time to this amazing group. We appreciate you. And also much gratitude to the best cheering section a school could ask for.

Today's Remembrance Day service was a beautiful tribute to honour Canada's soldiers and peacekeepers. Our students led and participated in the service with respect, reverence and gratitude. Making it even more personal and significant was the display of student artwork all around the gym.

Our grade 8, had a blast at the JMSS Transition Day! They got to experience what life in high school was going by to be like next year. Our students had the opportunity to visit a math and English class, plant pots in the greenhouse, play some music on ukuleles, explore the science labs and the gym as well as enjoy lunch in the cafeteria. We cannot wait to watch these Lions turn into Panthers🦁

Every week, Mrs Sprik picks up our groceries for the Breakfast and Snack program. Today, this happened: "While checking out out at the grocery store for our breakfast program, the man behind me in line made a comment about all the yogurt in my cart. I explained that it was for our schools breakfast program. Long story short, he walked down the breakfast aisle and grabbed an entire case of cereal. He said he wished these programs were around when he was a kid growing up in poverty." We'd like to wish this kind man at Food Basics our deepest thanks for this generous donation. We are deeply grateful that our students can begin their day with a full belly.
