Play Ball⚾️
Great day for the Annual Staff vs Grade 7's Baseball Game - not too hot, not too sunny! Just the perfect weather for the staff to once again come out as the victors🎉
Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Cleeve for making it a true ballpark experience by providing hotdogs to the cheering fans.
Maybe next year will be the students' year to come out on top🫢🫢

Thank you to the OSNP who made it possible for our entire school to enjoy a Subway lunch today.
We know that belies filled with nutritious food allow our brains to work smarter and our bodies to move better.
What a great treat for everyone at the end of an incredible year.

We are so proud of the Class of 2026🎓
These students are going to be amazing at high school and beyond.

It's Wheelie Wednesday🚲
Our Kindergaryen students are having a blast riding their wheels around the school - they'll be sleeping well tonight💤

🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Acknowledging our hard work completing their EQAO assessments.
Is there any better way to celebrate than with ice cream?

Our Grade 5-8 students are loving the opportunity to learn more about and play Pickleball from the Chatham Pickleball Club this week.
I think there are some new converts to the sport, thanks to this opportunity to play.

Tomorrow is Taco Day!
Thank you School Council and OSNP!

We are so proud of our Grade 7 and 8 young men from Victor Lauriston who headed out to the Capitol Theatre today for the Male Youth Summit, hosted by Strain Sisters! This wasn't just a field trip; it was a powerful opportunity for our students to lean into personal growth, leadership, and self-reflection. From workshops on emotional intelligence to discussions on community responsibility, these students are learning exactly what it takes to be positive, empathetic representatives for the male community. We can’t wait to see them bring these lessons back to our hallways and lead by example. Way to go, trailblazers!

We had so much fun welcoming our new Kindergarten families to our Open House tonight.
Hot dogs were cooked to perfection, bikes were ridden all over the yard and there was a little bit of water left in the sensory table by night's end. 🌭🚲💦
Next year's class looks like it will be amazing, we're so excited for school to start!

A heartfelt thank you to the Creekside Church community who blessed our staff with lunch yesterday. Not only did they fill our bellies, but their thoughtfulness and kindness also filled our souls.

Our Grade 8's and the Leadership Team welcomed students and staff from the Global Leadership Academy in Philadelphia to Victor Lauriston today. What a dynamic and thoughtful group😊
We had the chance to connect over lunch, including many "Only in Canada" treats, and then spent time outdoors, playing, connecting and having fun.
What a fantastic opportunity to learn from one another that building bridges is far more effective than building walls.
We can't wait for next year's visit😁

Just a friendly reminder that Track and Field Day for Victor Lauriston students will be held tomorrow - Thursday, May 14th.
