We are so grateful for our student nutrition program that provides healthy snacks for all of our students each day. Today, students in Mme Brydges' class made some new recipes to try some of the ingredients recently delivered by the program. Students enjoyed creating and eating savoury muffins consisting of feta, red peppers, ham, and eggs as well as banana chocolate chip muffins. They were both delicious! 🧑🏻🍳🥚🥣

Our grade 8 Muskoka trip is occurring in a few short days!
Please ensure:
1) Students are at school by 7:30 am. Photo is at 7:45 and a departure of 8:00 sharp
2) Students have packed a lunch to eat on the bus
3) Students have packed all items on the packing list- dress warm as the forecast is calling for some chilly weather
4) Ensure medication has been brought to school by Tuesday
5) The letter from a loved one is due by Tuesday
We are looking forward to a great few days together! 🚌🌲🏕️

Spirit Day this week!

After the big storm last night, students in Ms. Mayea and Mme Roy’s classes took full advantage and had a fun day building boats using the engineering design process! Students designed and created boats, tested them, and worked to improve them and test them again!

A shout out to our colour house ambassadors this month! Thank you for showing amazing school spirit. Go Knights!

Congratulations to all of these amazing students who were recognized this month for their exemplary Collaboration skills! We are so proud of you!

Students in Mme Brydges' Core French class and Mrs. Whiteye McGee's Ojibwe class are learning the verb "to have" as well as about pizza vocabulary to be able to order pizza. Today the two classes came together to make pizzas. Yum!

Don't forget to order your Spring flowers!

What a creative day today at SJM! Students had a blast getting their hands dirty. Mrs. Jeansonne's class crafted beautiful pinch pots, baskets, and sculptures with clay, while Mme. Saunders' class had fun making slime. Check out these amazing creations and the smiles they brought! 🎨🖐️😊

Today, our students proudly wore pink shirts to stand against bullying and promote kindness and inclusivity. Pink Shirt Day is a reminder that every act of kindness counts and that together, we can create a safe and supportive environment for everyone. 💖 Check out these amazing photos of our students showing their support and spreading positivity!

A reminder that today is Pink Shirt Day. 👚 Bulletin Board created by Mme Roy and Ms. West's classes to remind us how to lead with kindness. "In a world where you can be anything, be kind!"
