🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

We are halfway through the Battery Blitz School Mission Contest, in collaboration with Earth Rangers and Recycle Your Batteries, Canada. We want to thank all the students and the families who have already sent in their used batteries! 🎉 You still have time to make a difference! The contest runs until April 11th. Exciting things happening for our Eagles Family during March 💛💚🦅

Kathleen Brenders French Immersion FDK Educator initiated a Ramadan information day for McNaughton students and teachers. She reached out to the SWIS Worker Wedad Ateya and ELL Support teacher Megan Gare to help her facilitate the event. Wedad organized 12 generous community volunteers and 7 helpful student volunteers who together created an amazing, informative, interactive and visual event which all classes passed through over two full days. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with our school family 💛💚🦅
