FNMI Integrated Arts

Course:

  1. NAC1O: Expressions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Cultures, Grade 9

  2. ALC2O: Integrated Arts, Grade 10

Eligibility:

  • Indigenous grade 8-10​, Adult Indigenous Learners who are close relatives

Dates:

  • July 2-29, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Some days may go longer due to field trips or program activities.

Registration Deadline: Friday, June 27, 2025

Program Description:

Students will earn a credit in NAC1O, Expressions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Cultures, Grade 9.  The program will be experiential in focus with a land-based learning approach.  In addition, students will engage in activities that support their transition to their secondary school in September.  Transportation will be provided

Students are expected to:

  • Be prepared to engage in outdoor activity in warm summer weather. 

  • Wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather and that is appropriate for a school learning environment.

  • Have sun protection such as a hat and sunblock.
