Eligibility:
Indigenous grade 8-10, Adult Indigenous Learners who are close relatives
Dates:
July 2-29, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Some days may go longer due to field trips or program activities.
Registration Deadline: Friday, June 27, 2025
Program Description:
Students will earn a credit in NAC1O, Expressions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Cultures, Grade 9. The program will be experiential in focus with a land-based learning approach. In addition, students will engage in activities that support their transition to their secondary school in September. Transportation will be provided
Students are expected to:
Be prepared to engage in outdoor activity in warm summer weather.
Wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather and that is appropriate for a school learning environment.
Have sun protection such as a hat and sunblock.
