Our classrooms were full of colour and creativity today as students decorated dragon cookies for Colour House Day! 🐉🎨 From bold designs to colourful icing masterpieces, the fun (and sprinkles!) were everywhere. A sweet way to celebrate school spirit and house pride together! 💚💙❤️💛🧡💜
Merci à Mme LeBlanc for providing all of the cookies and icing. They were delicious!🤤

Talent show (continued)

What an incredible day! 🌟
Our Talent Show was filled with such amazing performances and so much courage from the students who took the stage. From singers, dancers musicians and magicians the talent in our school continues to impress.
Thank you to everyone who performed and to the audience for your encouragement. Days like this remind us how special our school community truly is.
Un gros merci to Mme Bailey for organizing and Mme Nesbitt for tech support. ✨

We are so grateful to Ms. Michaud for applying for the Foresters Care grant on our behalf. Thanks to this funding we have lots of new recess equipment to play with! Your kindness is appreciated.

Sunshine, fresh air, and a little bit of dirt under our nails 🌱
Today students in Mme Verroen's class took learning outside and spent time planting flowers in our garden beds. There’s something special about watching them work together—digging, planting, and taking pride in making our space more beautiful for everyone.
Now we wait, water, and watch—excited to see the full bloom later this season and enjoy the results of their hard work 🌸

We're channelling spring vibes here at Hillcrest tomorrow. Show us your flower power!

With energy to burn today, our little kinderbunnies hopped into spring full of joy! They were happily hopping down the halls, spreading smiles to everyone they passed. 🐰🌸

🍎 Big Crunch Day! 🍎
At the end of our countdown today, students and staff across the school bit into crisp apples at the exact same moment — and the sound of the crunch was amazing!
Big Crunch Day is a fun reminder of the importance of healthy eating and the impact of our student nutrition program in supporting student well-being and readiness to learn. 💚
We would like to thank all of the community volunteers, staff volunteers, student volunteers and community sponsors for their support.

Today our Colour Houses came together for some silly Minute-to-Win-It games! 🎉 Laughter echoed through the halls as students collaborated, cheered each other on, and built community in the best possible way. 💛💙❤️💚💜🧡

Time for a little fun before the March break!

Grade 5/6 students have been challenged with creating a ball run where the ball travels from start to finish at the slowest possible speed.

Come dressed in your house colour and prepared to cheer on your team in some Minute-to-Win-It games.

If your child is 4 or turning 4 this year, it's time to register for school! We would love for you to join us on April 1st for another Open House.

What a fun and engaging presentation by Earth Rangers today! Thank you Nova Chemicals for providing our students with this opportunity.

Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day. Stand up to bullying.

🙌Congratulations to all participants of today's public speaking competition at the Lion's Hall. We are #Hillcrest proud of you! Good luck to those who move onto the next level. Thank you to Mme Woltz for your coaching and support. 🏅

🏒🥅 It wasn't the result that we were hoping for, but Hillcrest brought the spirit today to cheer on team Canada at our watch party. The gym was a sea of red and white, and the excitement could be heard far down the halls. 🤞Fingers crossed for better results tomorrow! Go Canada go! 🇨🇦

Our students have been putting their conversational French skills into action by planning an Olympic viewing party. Using real-life communication skills, students collaborated to:
-Propose ideas
-Negotiate options
-Agree on events, food and decorations
All discussions, decisions and planning happened in French and the viewing party will be in French - because language learning is about using French in authentic, meaningful ways!
Now it's time to celebrate their hard work.
