Students had a lot of fun yesterday participating in various winter-themed events to celebrate Winter Carnival. We were even lucky enough to have Bonhomme visit us.

Due to the expected inclement weather this evening, the senior girls' basketball game has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date. Similarly, play practice is also cancelled. These decisions were made with the safety of our students, staff, and spectators as our top priority.
Thank you for your understanding!

🌟 Celebrating Black History Month at LKDSB 🌟
Every February, we reflect on the incredible achievements and contributions of Black Canadians. But at LKDSB, we believe in celebrating Black history year-round. Our educators bring Black history, voices, and perspectives into classrooms every day, fostering understanding and respect for the cultural contributions that have shaped our world.
This February, join us as we shine a spotlight on events, lessons, and activities across our Board to honour the lasting legacy of Black Canadians. It’s an opportunity for students, families, and communities to learn, celebrate, and be inspired by the remarkable individuals who’ve shaped our past—and continue to shape our future.
We invite you to explore the rich history of Black Canadians, including the powerful stories from our own local communities. Together, let’s build a more inclusive, compassionate, and prosperous Canada, today and every day!✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽
