Our Senior Girls Soccer Team finished off their season on a high note, defeating Victor Lauriston Lions in an exciting shoot-out! Thank you to Miss Travis for sharing her soccer expertise and love of the game with our Grizzly athletes! Our Senior Boys Soccer Team had a successful season, with 4 wins and 2 losses. Mr. Mackenzie, the coach for the boys, was impressed by their efforts and talent. He says the future of our Grizzly soccer team looks strong!

Our Grade 8 students have been working hard today, preparing for Saturday's rummage sale. We look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday, September 27th, from 7:00am - 12:30pm at Gregory Drive Public School. All proceeds go towards supporting our Grade 8 students to participate in their year-end field trip to Muskoka Woods.
Go Grizzlies!

Crossing the finish line means hope for everyone with cancer. Together, we can Finish It.

Almost all LKDSB schools, including Gregory Drive Public School, have at least one Noelle’s Gift Closet. These closets are stocked with everyday essentials tailored to meet the specific needs of each school community. Clean clothes, hygiene products, nutritional items, and various school supplies are just some of the examples of what you can find inside a Noelle’s Gift Closet. These closets have created a new opportunity for our school to provide immediate relief in moments of panic or anxiety for our students. These closets meet the needs quickly and discreetly, and allow our students to continue with their day supported, nourished, and ready to learn.
For this reason, I am pleased to share information with you about the Noelle’s Gift Closet Initiative, a program that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of students across the Lambton Kent District School Board. The Gift Closet Initiative provides local businesses and organizations the opportunity to become a “Closet Sponsor” and fund the stocking of closet(s) at a specific school or schools.

The staff at Gregory Drive Public School hopes you had a wonderful summer and are excited for the start of the 2025-26 school year!
We are looking forward to having your child return to school on September 2nd, 2025. We wanted to send out a quick refresher on how to access the CLASS Parent Portal that will identify where your child’s pick up and drop off location will be, as well as the time your child’s bus should arrive and depart each day. For families that have children no longer riding the accessible bus, these instructions will give you information that you had previously received from CLASS services before the start of the school year. You will now need to log into the CLASS Parent Portal to retrieve this information moving forward.
Accessing the Parent Portal Link:
https://class.mybusplanner.ca/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FSubscriptions%2FChildTransportInfo
Here are the basic steps to get you started:
1. Go to: https://cklass.ca/parent-portal/
2. Create a parent portal using the email address that you had previously provided to us at Gregory Drive Public School.
3. Create a Password.
4. Students with that email attached to their student record will automatically be added to the portal.
5. Courtesy seat application can be found under Online Forms & Requests.
We hope you are enjoy the last week of summer holidays.
