🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

*More great photos to come!

The City Track & Field Meet is a go! Hoping to push through before any inclement weather. Best of luck to all of our Grizzly athletes! Enjoy the day representing our school.

Miigwech to Theland Kicknosway, his fiancé and friends for coming to Gregory Drive! We learned so much about your culture through your captivating music, song, dance, and story-telling! Baamaapii!

Friendly Reminder: Friday, June 5th is a PA Day across all Lambton Kent District School Board Schools!

Thank you, Mr. Schoger, for organizing our school-wide Heart & Stroke Fundraising Event! We raised just under $500 and had fun participating in heart healthy activities!

Yesterday, Gregory Drive welcomed its volunteers for treats, refreshments, and student entertainment. Thank you volunteers for everything you do to support our students.

We couldn't have a production without people helping behind the scenes! Thanks to all those who helped with the advertising, programs, set, costumes, lights, sound, ticket sales, canteen, stage set up, etc. 🎭

More memorable moments from last week's performance of "Once Upon a Crime: The Trial of Goldilocks!"

Wow! 🤩 Incredible performance, by the whole cast, of "Once Upon a Crime: The Trial of Goldilocks!" Staff, students, family, and friends were thoroughly entertained by the non-stop laughs in this fun mix of fairytale favourites! Special thanks to Mr. Mackenzie and Mrs. K. Jackson for the countless hours of rehearsals and preparations they put into making this show the success that it was! 👏

Check out the LKDSB Summer Connections Camps for students in Grade 1 through Grade 8.

Just a reminder that Volunteer Appreciation Day is next Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. There will be treats, refreshments, and a performance by our early years and primary students. Please take a moment to RSVP using the QR code on the screen if you plan on attending.
We look forward to see you.

Will justice be served in this hilarious fairy-tale courtroom play packed with characters we all know and love? It’s up to your audience, which serves as the jury and determines how the play ends! Goldilocks is the defendant, on trial for breaking and entering. The plaintiffs are — you guessed it — the three bears. As their lawyers Henny Penny and Tom Thumb go toe-to-toe hoping to prove their respective clients’ cases, other fairy tale characters are called to testify as witnesses, including Hansel and Gretel, Jack and Cow, and Granny. Even the Big Bad Wolf takes the stand, but can any of these witnesses be trusted themselves? Is Goldilocks guilty or innocent?
Come see this hilarious show that is fun for the whole family!!

Thank you Mr. Welch, staff, volunteers, supportive fans, and students for making our track & field day such a huge success! It was wonderful to see so many Grizzlies running their fastest, jumping and throwing their farthest, and most importantly, cheering each other on!

You're Invited! Gregory Drive Public School would like to invite all school volunteers to an appreciation event on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Gregory Drive Public School gymnasium, where there will be sweet treats, refreshments, and student entertainment.
We are grateful to everyone who was a field trip chaperone, worked a hot lunch, supported the snack and breakfast programs, served on the parent council, supported a school event, gave classroom presentations, etc. Your support and involvement continue to have a positive impact on our students' success.
If you fit the criteria above, please use the QR code on the attached poster to RSVP to this event. That said, I would like to highlight that this event is not for our entire school community. It is to show appreciation to those who have given up their time and energy to volunteer at our school.
Thank you.
