Our Inquiry on rocks and gems began when Mrs. Wilson noticed that the students were finding rocks outside at recess and were bringing them in to show us. From there, we started asking what a rock was. Where do gems come from? What is a fossil? Where are the crystals?

Our rocks/crystals/gems inquiry
Some of our research
We wanted to make a cave. We want to mine too. Mr. Mac is too big to fit.
We have to make some crystals and special rocks to find.
I see some crystals and minerals
Safety first! You need a hard hat and some flashlights to see underground.
Look what I found!
Oooo! Crystals!
Mr. Mac and Miss Simpson have to try it first. Pickaxes are ready to go!
Congratulations to all Grizzlies who competed in the regional cross country meet at Sarnia’s Canatara Park! You gave it your all and represented our school well!
