The 3rd Annual Science Olympics took place on Tuesday December 9th - C.K.S.S. finished tied for 3rd! Way to go Hawks!

This past weekend CKSS alum, CIS MVP, and HEC Creighton winner, Ethan Jordan was back in the building for his Path2Pros football clinic. Some current Golden Hawks were there to meet and work with Ethan and his teammate, HEC Creighton winner QB Taylor Elgersma. It was great to see Ethan giving back and passing on what he's learned through his journey!

The HEC Creighton is the award given out to the country's best football player. Ethan is only the second player from Chatham to ever win the award!

The Yearbook Class had the honour of welcoming Richard Beland, who shared many stories and insights into his professional photography career, which has included many celebrities such as The Tragically Hip, Nickelback, Nirvana, U2, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Yungblud, and many more!

Grade 6 students from our C.K.S.S. feeder schools participated in "Tech Innovation Day" today! Students were excited to experience many aspects of the trades such as construction, hairdressing, culinary skills, automotive technology and sheet metal fabrication.

Jessie McPherson (CKSS Grad 2020) has been signed to the Toronto Sceptres in the Professional Women's Hockey League! Your CKSS Hawks family is extremely proud of you and cannot wait to watch as you excel in your first year of professional hockey.

Ethan Jordan (CKSS Grad 2020) was awarded the @Usport 2025 Hec Crighton award which is given to the best football player in all of Canada. Your CKSS Hawks family is super proud of your accomplishment and Ethan will be celebrated as one of the greatest U Sports Football players of All-time!

The C.K.S.S. Winter Pep Rally is hitting the Myers Gym on Thursday November 27th!
Students are encouraged to wear their blue and gold colours as we celebrate our incredible Winter season teams!

Yesterday, Music students from CKSS, NLSS, and TDHS joined together for LKDSBeats, our Arts & Culture SHSM event. Canadian recording artist Bradley Barnham, a seasoned professional with JUNO Awards connections, guided students through an inspiring workshop focused on passion, opportunity, and the healing power of music. He also led a massed band, choir, and guitar ensemble performance of “Don’t Stop Me Now.” The entire day highlighted the strength of inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity within our Music programs.

C.K.S.S. students hosted the opening reception of their Hero Portrait exhibit last night at The Co. A big thank you to Angel and Nicole for their continuing support of the arts and youth in our community!

After learning about how important breakfast is this week, Gr. 10 Foods classes were busy today making Breakfast Burrito Bowls - eggs, cheese and sauteed veggies, topped with your choice of bacon, ham, sausage, or ground beef, all on a bed of roasted potatoes.🥚🫑🧅🍅🥔🧀🥓 Yum! 😋
