My name is Scott Bacik and I am thrilled to have been appointed Principal at Wheatley Area Public School.  Most recently I was Principal at Gregory Drive Public School and Vice Principal at Victor Lauriston Public School in Chatham.  I have taught in several schools throughout my career, ranging from large urban schools to small rural schools. 

We believe the school is central to the success of any community.  We would encourage each of you to feel welcome coming through our door and participating in your child's learning – whether it is to attend an Assembly, to volunteer in the Snack Program, to participate in Parent Council, to chaperone a class field trip or to be an active and encouraging spectator at our sporting events.  This school belongs to you and your support is essential for its' continued success.

We have many goals for the year including a focus on fundamentals in mathematics, continued use of technology across all strands, and learning opportunities that involve character development and building citizenship in students.
