The Ontario Ministry of Education asks all school boards in Ontario to conduct an anonymous school climate survey on a regular basis so boards of education can help schools:
- Assess perceptions of safety – from students, parents and school staff
- Make informed planning decisions about programs to help prevent bullying and promote safe and inclusive schools
- Determine the effectiveness of their programs on an ongoing basis
- Build and sustain a positive school climate.
The Lambton Kent District School Board is required to conduct a school climate surveys of students, school staff and parents at least once every two years as they all play a key role in contributing to a positive school climate. The student survey has been completed but we are now asking our parents and guardians to take part. Please follow the link below to assist us in working with your school community to build and sustain a positive school climate. It will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete and all information is confidential.
Your time and assistance is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Gary Girardi, Superintendent of Education – Safe Schools
Angie Barese, Superintendent of Education – Mental Health
Helen Lane, Superintendent of Education – Equity and Inclusion
