​Students at Aberarder Central School have been dismissed early on Friday, February 17, 2023 due to a power outage in the area. Due to the power outage and the estimated time of restoration, Lambton Kent District School Board has decided to close the school to students for the day on Friday, February 17, 2023.

School buses in the school zone were cancelled due to inclement weather and road conditions. The school is contacting parents/guardians of any students in attendance.

It is expected that Aberarder Central School will be open to students on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Due to the temporary power outage, the phone lines at the school are currently unavailable. If parents/guardians need to contact the school, please reach out to the Lambton Kent District School Board at 519-336-1500.
