We are a wonderful school of approximately 175 students from FDK - 8 in the small but tight knit community of Wheatley, ON. Our Secondary School that Wheatley Area PS feeds into is Tilbury District High School.

My name is Janna Vlasschaert and I am the Principal at Wheatley Area Public School. The warm welcome that I received in April of 2023 when I arrived, was greatly appreciated. This community is amazing and I am excited for the future of our Wheatley families. 

Our school team believes the school is central to the success of any community.  We would encourage each of you to feel welcome coming through our door and participating in your child's learning – whether it is to attend a school assembly, to participate in Parent Council, to chaperone a class field trip or to be an active and encouraging spectator at our sporting events.  This school belongs to you and your support is essential for its' continued success.

We have many goals for the year including a focus on fundamentals in mathematics, continued use of technology across all strands, and learning opportunities that involve character development and building citizenship in students.
