Students teamed up to enhance our school courtyard, combining construction and horticulture skills. From building and planting to landscaping, they gained valuable hands-on experience while creating a welcoming outdoor space for all to enjoy. 🪵🌺🙌
Mrs. Thomas’ Grade 9 Science students went on a field trip to tour the International Space Station using LKDSB Virtual Reality headsets. Zero gravity looks like fun! 🛰️🔭
The WDSS Rocket League Team are the Spring 2026 Rocket League Champions! 🏆The team was undefeated this season, winning all matches. The Tartans defeated LCCVI in the grand final, winning their games with scores of 5-3 and 3-1. The team displayed excellent teamwork and individual skills. Congratulations to Aiden C., Seth M., Ethan N, (not pictured), and team captain, Mason V. 🙌
D. Leach made the Tartans proud last weekend at the OFSAA West Regionals track and field championships in Cambridge. He placed 6th in long jump and 3rd in triple jump. 🥉👟🎉

Ms. Pelletier's geography class celebrated the final episode of season 11 of The Amazing Race Canada. Throughout the semester, students watched competitors push their physical and mental limits against the backdrop of our country's vast and diverse landscapes. Students were prompted to make connections to the concepts of geographic thinking during each episode and continued to examine the complexity of Canadian geography🤔⛰️

Citizen Science in action! 📊 This morning, our Chemistry students engaged in vital water quality analysis. By testing local samples, they are bridging the gap between classroom theory and environmental stewardship. 📝💧
A deep dive into local tourism! 🚌 Our SHSM students visited Retro Suites and Glasstown to level up their hospitality game. They explored unique guest experiences, mastered service standards, and learned the technical artistry behind local craft brewing and mixology. Seeing the industry in action! 💼🍽️

SHSM and Horticulture students explored Peers Wetland with the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority! Students enjoyed a guided hike while learning about local invasive and native species, aquatic species at risk, and the importance of water quality in our ecosystem.

Our Tartan Track & Field team brought the heat today for the first half of the championships. We are so proud of the grit and speed our athletes showed on the track and in the field. ⏱️🔥
