🎉 Potato Olympics Fun! 🥔🥇 Mrs. Brown’s Grade 2/3 class and Mr. Cobb’s Grade 7/8 class teamed up for a hilarious and creative Potato Olympics event! Students brought their imagination to life by designing and naming their own “potato athletes,” each complete with a backstory and unique traits. During the afternoon, these spud-tastic competitors took part in a variety of fun challenges that helped bring learning to life and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. From rolling races to creative displays of potato skills, our students showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and school spirit. The event was a wonderful mix of creativity, laughter, and friendly competition! 🥔🎉

🍕 A huge shoutout to the Tilbury Royal Canadian Legion Branch 206 for giving students the awesome chance to enter their yearly contests! Our Grade 8 class earned a pizza lunch for submitting the most entries in the Remembrance Day poster contest! While we enjoyed every slice, we also got to learn more about the Legion’s history, meet some of its amazing members, and share ideas on how TAPS students can get more involved. 🇨🇦 If you haven’t checked out one of the fun events at our local Legion, you should definitely go sometime! Today our classes joined 21,000 other members of the Lambton Kent District School Board tuning into this year’s student-centered, student-created Black History Month Celebration.

There’s something special about the day the Grade 8 hoodies arrive. It’s more than just a sweatshirt; it’s a symbol of their leadership in our school and the journey they’ve shared together. 💙 We are so proud of the students they are becoming. Seeing them walk the halls in their "Class of" gear reminds us that high school is just around the corner, but they’ll always have a home here!

The Royal Canadian Legion, Tilbury Branch 206, expressed great appreciation for the impressive number and quality of entries submitted by our students this year. Several submissions from our school will advance to the next level of competition. Congratulations to all participants for their thoughtful work in honouring our veterans, commemorating Remembrance Day, and demonstrating exceptional school spirit.
