Inclement Weather
While we hope that the weather stays nice and dry, we know that the snow and ice is unfortunately just around the corner. The policy of the LKDSB for inclement weather is:
In the event of bus cancellation due to snow or freezing rain, buses will not run in the morning or afternoon but schools remain open. If buses are cancelled due to fog, all schools will remain open. Morning bus pickups will be cancelled and buses will run for the afternoon return home drop offs. We encourage parents of bus students to arrange their own transportation to school when it is safe to do so. Please listen to your local radio station (94.3 CKSY or 92.9 CFCO) or check the transportation web site at www.schoolbusinfo.com
Tecumseh Public School is in School Bus Zone 8.
Winter wear and Changing Weather
With the ever-changing weather, please ensure that your children are dressed appropriately with hats, boots, mittens and warm coats. This is also a great time of year to wear layers so that children can adjust their clothing as the temperature warms throughout the day. Our students enjoy playing outside twice a day for twenty minutes each break and we want all of them to feel comfortable. Students without the proper attire for the weather will not be able to stay in and will be expected to still go outside for recess. Please also help us cut back on the number of items in our lost and found by labeling your students’ winter clothing items.
