Our Senior Girls Basketball AA LKSSAA Champions played their last game on Wednesday night, taking on Tecumseh Vista in the SWOSSAA finals game. The Eagles played hard, getting an early lead with Tecumseh pulling ahead. Our girls came back in the third quarter but just couldn't catch up. A hard fought game, right down to the last buzzer. Congratulations to all our players for a great season and making us proud, from coaches Mrs. Sanders, Mr. Willemse, and Mrs. Petrus.

As we head into November, Miss Syer in the library wanted to remind everyone that she takes requests and suggestions for library books. She tries to keep up with what is popular and new but sometimes there might be a book she doesn't know about. Students can talk to Miss Syer about suggestions they have.

As well, last year students were able to have a library party once a semester, this semester's party is to celebrate the release of the Wicked Part 2 movie. There will be lots of fun activities that day so be sure to have your students join us and they can wear pink or green if they want.

Due to the inclement weather on November 11th, our Remembrance Day Ceremonies were moved to today, November 12th. We thank our students and staff for the hard work providing the music, art, and presentations for the ceremony.
Today, students and staff were able to recognize the sacrifices that many people in our community had made as they fought in Canada's past wars. Some of these community members made the greatest sacrifice by giving their lives.

Thanks to our Arts and Culture SHSM program, NLSS students participated in a Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop hosted by the Forest Museum. They created some very impressive pieces of art using a printmaking method discovered 183 years ago. Thank you to the Kiwanis for the use of the Kineto and to NLSS alumni Jenny Buchanan and Amy Jennings for assisting.
