🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Friendly Reminder: Friday, June 5th is a PA Day across all Lambton Kent District School Board Schools!

When students are tasked with dressing like Mr. Kilmer, they rise to the challenge. Some amazing outfits today!!

The final day at Muskoka Woods had us playing basketball, climbing up to the Drop Zone, strengthening muscles at Rock Climbing, and practicing Pickleball.

Part two of day two was equally as eventful. Hiked up the hill and scooted around at the Pump Track, practiced our Archery, and defied gravity on the Low Ropes, and got our adrenaline pumping at the Zipline.

Kicking things off at Muskoka Woods - day one down, two more to make it count. 🌲

Part one of day two in the books for our Grade 8s at Muskoka Woods. Started with Aerial Trust Dive, took aim with Archery Tag, then climbed to new heights with the Vertical Playground, and finally got our game on with Gaga Ball and Spikeball.

Students in Grade 1/2 love cooking days. On the menu today: spaghetti and meatballs.

"Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey." These budding gardeners helped put together a new tiered planter for our Garden Club, thanks to the generous grants from Rotary Club of Sarnia, Lift 360, and Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.

Manie Musicale has begun and students are showing off their incredible talents. Here are two students Art submissions for the global art contest showing appreciation for two Canadian francophone artists.

Mustangs are engaging in French and technology by creating their own skating path, inspired by the story "La belle journée d'Emilie".

Mustang students were given the opportunity to sing O Canada at the U21 Silverstick Finals at Mooretown Arena. We were honoured and proud to be involved. Our singers did an amazing job!!

Due to inclement weather across the district, ALL Lambton Kent District School Board schools will be closed for Thursday, January 15, 2026. Please stay safe.

Thank you to the Mustang Parent Council for cooking, hosting and serving the holiday dinner at school today. Students enjoyed eating a yummy meal together, happy to all be together in the gym.

The Grade 7/8s took to the snow to learn how Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island designed snowshoes to conserve energy while traveling across deep snow, fostering respect for Indigenous knowledge systems and their continued relevance today.
