The Grade 7/8s took to the snow to learn how Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island designed snowshoes to conserve energy while traveling across deep snow, fostering respect for Indigenous knowledge systems and their continued relevance today.

The School Mental Health poster last week was called Just Listen. Students were asked to close their eyes and listen. First, for sounds far away. Next, sounds close to them, and finally sounds in their body. This practise is designed to help re focus your mind when you are feeling anxious or stressed.
